Striking Japanese ceramic wall object featuring an abstract, hand-painted design.
This exceptional ceramic piece combines a substantial, sculptural form with free, gestural painting in shades of blue and natural tones. Its deliberately raw and lively surface gives it the character of a ceramic art object or relief rather than a traditional wall tile.
With a thickness of approximately 5 cm and a weight of around 2.2 kg, the piece has a remarkable physical presence. The reverse features two hanging fixtures as well as Japanese lettering or a signature, the exact attribution of which has not yet been conclusively established.
