Alisa Galitsyna

Alisa is a self-taught Ukrainian artist living in Spain. She is inspired by nature and the haptic world; by organic forms, textures, and the character of simple, everyday materials.

She primarily works with collage and mixed media, and is particularly drawn to paper that carries a story and a sense of time. Yellowed pages, vintage surfaces, worn edges, and small imperfections become part of her visual language, adding depth to each composition. In her recent works, Alisa incorporates hand embroidery. This slow, repetitive process adds a physical and personal dimension to the work, strengthening the connection to the materials.

Her artistic practice is rooted in material exploration and a handcrafted approach, where texture, rhythm, and subtle details play a central role.
