This exceptional vintage vase is an impressive example of so-called Trench Art. A historic U.S. brass shell casing was transformed into a decorative vessel featuring an elaborate, raised floral relief. Its original military provenance can still be traced through the markings preserved on the base.
The vase is made of heavy brass and weighs approximately 750 g. Its slender, slightly tapered body is fully and intricately decorated with sculptural floral and leaf motifs. The warm, aged surface with its natural patina gives the piece a particularly distinctive character.
An exceptional historic object for collectors of Trench Art, vintage brass, military history and decorative metalwork. It also makes a striking sculptural statement on its own and can be styled beautifully with individual branches or dried flowers.
The existing patina and signs of age have been intentionally preserved, highlighting the authentic character of this unique piece.
